As an update on Kevin Murphy, the Utah Motorsports Foundation
announced that they had made a cash donation to Kevin to help
in his recovery.
Terry Nish is the founder of this charity organization and in
the last two years their fund raisers on the Sunday before Labor
Day have raised close to $100,000 which goes to help racers who
through no fault of their own have cash needs. Last year the
first racer who was helped had a fire in his home ... the foundation
not only helped with cash but found construction people and volunteers
to help repair the house. Terry has done the whole racing community
a service without a big splash so if you are thinking of making
donations, keep the Utah Motorsports Foundation in mind.

The rider was Kevin Murphy from Nevada and to update everyone
he did have
some broken,cracked ribs, a broken thumb and I heard later a
dislocated
shoulder. Sorry about the first indication on the salt that there
were no
broken bones. He is very sore as he should be with that kind
of get off at
speed.A speedy recovery to Kevin.
