Keith, Now you've hit on something I know about. According to our engine builder at Labonte Racing, you should set the first gauge at 100. Make sure the piston you are checking is at TDC (or it will rotate the motor and generally P___s you off). You should not have readings above 8% or so, but the real check is the differential between cylinders. Also, make sure the engine is at normal operating temp. My 2 cents, but hey, I do it every week.
