Hi Doug,
Maybe this would interest you about Bonneville stuff, the old camouflage '67
Chevy camper made it right past all the brand new duelies without a stumble.
Alky 3 liter Datsun with 3rd gear only got a record 226. The best story - we
took the transmission apart behind the motel and was able to find a 1968 C4
automatic transmission in a junk pile within 4 minutes. The supercharged
3liter Datsun wouldn't make power. Thursday morning we switched to the 400
CID small block. It caught on fire fueled by an open half inch fuel line.
Me and a crew member breathed some oxygen after it was out, squirted some
water on the fire mess, got it to run and went 303 out the back. What's so
hard about Bonneville racing?
Thanks for the interest.
