Yes, Jonathon is doing a heck of a job. He has truly been taken in by the
land speed racing world, and really enjoys developing some exposure for
those pursuing speed.
As far as donations go, I cant directly speek for him, but can
confidently tell you that he does not expect any, nor will he dampen his
efforts if none come in. His effort is like my feeble effort at trying to
make our bike gain speed, it is tough to make ends meet, and it would be
nice if finances did not seem to get in the way, but all in all, the
struggle/challenge to make our dreams a reality is quite rewarding in
itself.
A few pennies may aid his cause, heck I might even find some to throw in
(right after I figure out how I am getting a new set of pistons!!), either
way, desire and ingenuity will hopefully prevail, it is alot cheaper that
