This is a bit off topic but you've all been a great resource, Hey you
might even know the guys involved.
It goes like this. Hot Rod (the mag) did an article in the late 50's-
60's on a street track roadster and I've been trying to track down what
issue. The particular roadster was very low and had a Watson (of Indy
car fabricator fame) style nose on it. The nose may even have been done
in aluminum by Watson; memory doesn't serve well here. I post messages
now an then looking for info on this car and issue. I got this message
today and maybe someone might recognize the names or remember the car
and issue.
Here's the message:
Don't remember month or year, but I believe it's the same one I always
admired...
No one ever duped it that I know of.
The builder-owner was Chauvin Emmons, from Phoenix, Arizona... He owned
CME Engineering.
He and his son later produced a full tubed mono style '23 T track nosed
roadster in kit form...into the '70's and '80's...
Good luck...

Does anyone on the list remember the car, what issue, or know Chauvin
Emmons or CME Engineering?
Thanks in advance ;
Rich
