To get around the problem of the fuel pump not losing volumetric efficiency
as fast as the engine you use a 'high speed'. This is an additional bypass
jet that is set to open at a predetermined fuel pressure. Get a copy of
Kinsler's pamphlet on how to set up an injector, it describes several
variations on this theme. Including one that uses turbo boost to activate
the bypass. In drag racing it is not uncommon to have several of these
additional bypasses to bend the fuel curve to match the engines
requirements.
