for the benefit of the rest of the list (as i didnt "' reply all" ), I 
believe Marv Jorgensen currently has the snowmobile quarter mile record of 
194 mph! Dont know the specifics ,but "sleds" now run asphalt,grass and snow 
drags,so check the web.   Bob Wanner  Yorktown,N.Y. but currently in 
oppressively hot Palm Springs,Calif. (90 minutes from El Mirage)
