Maybe some of you scientific types can answer something that bothers me.
On stock heads there is usually a heatriser port connecting the 2 heads under
the carburetor. On Chryslers and Pontiac's and Studebakers they also connect
the two center exhaust valves on each head. Now we know that's bad, but if
you block off the Chevy type ports at the manifold flange do you think it
will result in some kind of wave bouncing back into the now low pressure port
bowl? Its easy to fill this port with aluminum and grind it the same as the
other port bowls, but will it help? Rich Fox still in Calif.
