The 20 gallon tank was an available aluminum surplus aircraft tank. It
was convenient, no science here. Of course, in those days we thought
that the extra ballast was a good idea. This was in the days when I knew
even less than I know now! I was running gasoline in those days. Even
ran the tank with a 300 cu. in. Desoto using no water
pump,(thermo-syphoning) with reasonable results. The Jabsco pump isn't a
bilge pump, we used to run those, but the one I run now is a larger pump
that is designed for hot water as well. I really think that I am going
to try to adapt a stock type pump if I can figure it out. I don't like
the idea of going to a belt drive for the injector pump, but I may have
to.
