Sixteen Days on the road, almost 6000 miles, a lot of sweat and too much beer,
and then it's "running on empty." Oh SHIT, it's only 50 weeks to get ready to
do it again !!!
It's best to start out with Thank You's !!!
To: Tom Byrant...Thanks for the use of your spare transmission and the great
driving tips! Tom, your a class guy, Tahnks again !!!
To: My Partner, Lionel Williams...for the great ride
To: John Beckett...for driving tips, sparking my design thoughts and the offer
to drive his car after I broke my ride.
To: All the people who visited us in our pits and in the staging lanes...for
making this a great week!
I would also like to thank Keith Turk, The ECTA'S Social Butterfly, for showing
all of us how to change a motor and rear third member with a diet Coke in one
hand and a cigarette in the other... Hey, Keith, does that 90 weight gear lube
you had smeared up and down your arms really work better than sunblock 45 ???
We came to B-ville looking to set a 200+ record in c/mmp, but one blown up
trans, a special 90 degree chevy valve and a lot of sweat later , we did manage
to set a record , just not what we planned on.
On the other hand, my other partner , John Beckett managed to reset the E/GCC
record twice.
