Hello-I just joined this mail list...my name is Katie Young Cortez. I race a
'39 Chevy coupe with my dad, Keith Young, out at the lakes and at B-ville
(although we haven't been out to the salt for a few years but plan to be
there next month). Currently, our car is in the XXO-VGC class and holds the
record in that class at El Mirage (139mph) and at Muroc (137mph-me driving).
My dad is in the Sidewinders and I hope to be voted in at next week's
meeting. I have been going to the races since I was... mmmmmmmmm...about
2-3yrs and now I'm 30, so I guess I was raised to race.
I am here thanks to Dan Warner who suggested I check out this forum to keep
