Fellow enthusiasts,
I just got a call from Monte Osborne at Muroc. Monte has a 37 Ford
XXF/VGC sedan powered by a set of the Don Orosco repopped Ardun heads on a
284 ci injected gas engine.
He made one pass, supposedly as a shakedown, turning 142+. He was
really pumped. The El Mirage minimum for the class is 130, so he has great
hopes for next month. The top speed of the meet so far is 297. Don't know who
did it.
