Chuck,
Thank goodness we don't all do things the same way. With my dragster,
I wanted to do all the driving until I made my goal, an 8 second pass with a
Flathead based engine. Then I was content to watch my son (with his quick
reactions) do the driving while I wrenched and sponsored. I take a ride
occasionally to keep my NHRA ticket current, but, don't miss the fire suit in
the summer.
With the LSR car, I haven't accomplished all I want to (Two Club
membership), so I endure the fire suit while wrenching, tuning, and
sponsoring.
