Well it seems we have solved the issue about what gear ratio I had.... Key
word here being Had!!!
best I can figure I was on the 3rd pass, the First Hard Pass and the
Driveshaft let go and took out the Tail shaft or the Trans let go and took
out the driveshaft...
in any event I learned why NASCAR has padding on the shifter... Hurts a ton
when it smacks your leg after the tail shaft breaks...
the only real consolation prize here is that the motor pulled really strong
and following Tom and Johns Recommendations we didn't take it past
8000rpm... well maybe just a tick but not much... and it should make great
power
I want to take a sec and thank Mayf and his Wife Cathy for coming with us
and playing Data recorder... for the first time I have something to ref: in
the future...
All the play back stuff and Pyrometer readings actually got recorded... The
Charts for RPM where interesting... I will post a note about them later....
