Lawrence, I assume that you are trying to get the motor under 305 cu. in. for "D" Class. A cleaner and simpler method is to destroke the motor with an offset grind. .020 destroke (calculating by the SCTA/BNI Rules Book, Bore x Bore x 0.7854 x Stroke x # of Cylinders) makes it a 304. # of Cyls.
