A 1600cc engine in an RX7? Now that's interesting. Small displacement
piston engine in a fairly small and slick RX7. Very interesting. What kind
of engine was it? I'd like to hear more about that car.
Jack Iliff's little G/GC Cosworth Firebird was the loudest thing in the
pits I ever heard at Maxton. I had to move away from that monster, and I
don't hear much in the first place.
Some of my fellow rotary engine racers around here have decided that I
need to have a car named "Chuck's Duck". At idle the lope of large ported
rotaries does kinda sound like a congested duck quacking. They figured a
duck with it's beak open (kinda resembling the Thrush Mufflers thrush I
guess) would look good on the side of the car. I've really gotto keep these
guys out of my shop and away from my cars.
