Hi Michael--
The pulley on my alternator is two-piece which allowed me to shim it with a
1/4" or so washer and use an original 3/4" wide 100 belt.
Last year I added a harmonic damper and narrow pulleys both for the crank
and water pump and removed the shim on the alternator pulley so that
everything now accepts a 1/2" belt.
Hope that clarifies things.
Best--Michael Oritt
