Update
OK - so bought a new drain plug from Moss. It is slightly longer and with a
3/8 allen socket instead of the usual 7/16 square. The thread seemed to be
machined and better quality than the plumbing like original one. Used some
non hardening goo and so far so good, however not had an opportunity yet to
get it really hot.
