I installed the Vintage Air traditional belted system.  I note that an =
electric AC compressor (available from Amazon and other vendors) =
suitable for automotive use demands a current load over 100 =
amps=E2=80=A6.. You might need to convert from the original car =
generator to a modern (large) alternator in order to drive the electric =
compressor.   The pieces available from Amazon (and others) do not =
include the condensing coil, air dryer, nor the in-dash =
equipment=E2=80=A6. So there are a lot of parts (and installation-fiddly =
bits) remaining for anyone wishing to undertake this approach.
