I agree with you about the head gasket, but be aware that both mating surfa=
ces will need to have a fine machined surface to make it work. That may req=
uire removal and disassembly of the engine.

Driving home from a two hundred mile jaunt, my car had some problems going =
uphill. Made some weird noises and so I pulled off the road and being 14 mi=
les from home, called a tow truck. Did a compression check when I got home,=
cylinders 1 and 2, 150 lbs! Cylinders 3 and 4, 0 lbs!?
Pulled the head and found this. Not a good sight.?
