rom the US, China and the UK; plants/seeds from within Australia; Austin-He=
aley parts from within Australia; Healey parts from the UK; plastic models =
from China; bedding from within Australia; garden implements from the UK; b=
ooks from the UK; and, screws/nuts/bolts from within Australia.

Australia Post is lifting its game and parcels are arriving quicker than no=
rmal mail (letters). Parcels are also delivered six days a week, while post=
is Monday to Friday.

One of the places we buy fabric is from an outlet in South Carolina and it=
=E2=80=99s always interesting to watch how the parcel is tracked through th=
e USPS system as it too is getting faster. Although there are some places i=
n the US where the parcel seems to sit for an inordinate amount of time. Th=
en instead of a parcel coming direct from the US to Australia, it may go vi=
a Tokyo, Hong Kong or Singapore. As there are no aircraft carrying tourists=
coming to Australia, air traffic has dropped considerably and air cargo fl=
ights are increasingly being relied upon.

the US, to meet a deadline, ...........................BUT, as I stated in=
my original post, the villain of this particular piece appears to be the U=

A while back, I issued a request for advice on how to fix a soft pedal=20
on my BN2 after replacing several cylinders and some shoes. I'd=20
pressure-bled them, which has always worked well for me before, but when=20
I got a good pedal it would go soft after some time and/or a bit of=20
driving. A lister suggested a method he'd seen work before: hold=20
pressure on the pedal with a board/weight/etc. for a few hours or days.=20
In desperation, I put a board on the depressed pedal and 'staked' it on=20
the driver side seat pan. As (bad) luck would have it, I had to deal=20
with my mother's dementia and place her in memory care, and my landlord=20
evicted us--he's selling--and we started a complete remodel of her house=20
before we moved in. So, no time or energy to work on the car for a=20
couple months--plus a heat wave that made it uncomfortable to work in=20
the garage--but when I finally got back on the car a couple days ago, I=20
had a good pedal, that seems to persist. Needless to say, I'm happy=20
about this, but a bit curious why this worked; my guess is the pressure=20
on the fluid causes any air in the fluid to form bubbles, which=20
gradually migrate back into the reservoir. Another (remote) possibility=20
is the brake fluid causes some swelling in the seals, allowing them to=20
seal better (though I've not seen any evidence of leaks).
Anyway, thanks to the person who suggested this; now on to other issues.

are the same with the same wheel cylinder used front and rear at each=20

request for advice on how to fix a soft pedal <br>on my BN2 after replacing=
several cylinders and some shoes. I'd <br>pressure-bled them, which has al=
ways worked well for me before, but when <br>I got a good pedal it would go=
soft after some time and/or a bit of <br>driving. A lister suggested a met=
hod he'd seen work before: hold <br>pressure on the pedal with a board/weig=
ht/etc. for a few hours or days. <br>In desperation, I put a board on the d=
epressed pedal and 'staked' it on <br>the driver side seat pan. As (bad) lu=
ck would have it, I had to deal <br>with my mother's dementia and place her=
in memory care, and my landlord <br>evicted us--he's selling--and we start=
ed a complete remodel of her house <br>before we moved in. So, no time or e=
nergy to work on the car for a <br>couple months--plus a heat wave that mad=
e it uncomfortable to work in <br>the garage--but when I finally got back o=
n the car a couple days ago, I <br>had a good pedal, that seems to persist.=
Needless to say, I'm happy <br>about this, but a bit curious why this work=
ed; my guess is the pressure <br>on the fluid causes any air in the fluid t=
o form bubbles, which <br>gradually migrate back into the reservoir. Anothe=
r (remote) possibility <br>is the brake fluid causes some swelling in the s=
eals, allowing them to <br>seal better (though I've not seen any evidence o=

new cylinders to the old ones and they <br>are the same with the same wheel=
cylinder used front and rear at each <br>wheel. Every car I have wor=
ked on has the bleeder at the highest point <br>to allow the air to rise to=
