ences.=C2=A0 I guess I was one of the lucky ones.=C2=A0 I installed my Pert=
ronix </p><p class=3DMsoNormal>in July of 2000.=C2=A0 There was no effect o=
n the tachometer.=C2=A0 In June of 2004, </p><p class=3DMsoNormal>my tach s=
tarted reading incorrectly.=C2=A0 Based upon an article by Frank </p><p cla=
ss=3DMsoNormal>Filangeri (source unknown), "BJ8 Tachometer Reads High&=
quot;, I swapped out the </p><p class=3DMsoNormal>capacitor marked ".2=
uf" drilled a hole in the back of the case to access </p><p class=3DM=
soNormal>the adjustable pot on the back of the circuit board, and after rei=
nstalling </p><p class=3DMsoNormal>the tach in the dashboard, calibrated it=
to match an external tachometer. </p><p class=3DMsoNormal>It has been runn=
