Subject: [Healeys] Voltage regulator query
About two years ago I replaced the original voltage regulator on my BT7.
The replacement, made in India, worked okay, but recently I have had to
burnish the contacts on the main coil in order to get it to provide a
charge.
I have been thinking about refurbishing the rugged original Lucas
regulator. Its resistor is fine and the coils do not look overheated or
discolored.
Are there any suggestions about finding a rugged voltage regulator these
days?
