100 Tappets-=20
Diameter 0.99875-0.99925
Length (overall) 3.02625-3.03675
Six cylinder Tappets are slightly smaller diameter and nearly a =C2=BD inch=
shorter. All six cylinder tappets have 8 holes. I do not have any 100 tap=
pets out of an engine right now so the number of holes would have been an e=
arly morning unknown for me, except for a photo in my 100 Service Manual th=
at shows the 100 tappets had 8 holes. =F0=9F=98=8A

Here's today's Healey 100 rant.=C2=A0 As you can see in the picture of the =
eight lifters, two are not the same as the rest.=C2=A0 I bought these sever=
al years ago from Vicky Brit and they all had the same part number, but the=
y are not the same.=C2=A0 Two of them have eight holes in the body.=C2=A0 T=
he rest have three holes.=C2=A0 The two that are different are almost an ei=
ghth of an inch shorter than the other six.=C2=A0 That can't be good.=C2=A0=
These are the things I run into that slows progress on this engine.=C2=A0 =
I suspect the two different ones are for a different application.=C2=A0 Can=
someone tell me what the correct overall height of a 100-4 cam follower is=
?=C2=A0 For all I know I might only have two correct lifters.
