This will depend on if you have a problem with one or all the bolts. If =
you mount bolts to the frame are all off by 1/2 am inch there is =
something really wrong. You need to look into other problems with the =
mount brackets or the frame brackets.
=20
If you are trying to line up the mount brackets to the frame and they =
are just a little off there are a couple of things you can try.
=20
1 Make small studs with a slot in the end for a screw driver. =
Install them in place of the bolts and then lower the engine onto the =
mount. Remove one stud at a time with the bolts. You may to tighten =
them up as you go to hold it in place.
=20
2 If it is only one or two bolts. Take another bolt and taper the =
end of the bolt. Then screw the bolt in from the underside of the =
bracket. This will align the mount bracket, then tighten the other mount =
bolts, Now remove the alignment bolt and install the bolt from the top.

Here=E2=80=99s what I did. Get 8 extra bolts and cut the heads off (or =
get some studs or threaded rod) and insert them in the plates leaving an =

lower the engine down. You will probably need to adjust the studs up or =

Hi,
I=E2=80=99ve been messing around with the front end of my 3000 so =
I=E2=80=99ve had to detach the engine mounts by removing the vertical =
bolts. Now that I=E2=80=99m trying to get the mounts reattached, =
I=E2=80=99m having a hell of a job to get the holes to line up. =
I=E2=80=99ve loosened off the bolts that attach the mounts to the =
engine, but there=E2=80=99s still about half an inch here, there and =
everywhere to contend with.
Is there a knack to this job? I can see myself expending a lot of brute =
force and ignorance here=E2=80=A6.
