Parts list AKD 1151, together with Fastener decode AKD 2239 demonstrate =
that 3/16=E2=80=9D UNF (No 10) and smaller screws were used on Austin =
Healeys.

=20

This may of course not be true for the earlier cars since AKD 1151 is =
the parts list for BN7, BT7 & BJ7 cars

I hesitate to write this as I am effectively arguing with people far =
more knowledgeable than I am. However, I have several times noticed that =
people are saying that 10 32 bolts or screws were used on Healeys when I =
know they are actually 2BA. Although UK started using UNC and UNF bolts =
and screws as Whitworth and BSF went out of fashion ( and prior to =
metrication), the small Unified sizes that had numerical- only =
designations (like 8, 10) were very rarely used in the UK, where we =
carried on with BA for the smaller sizes.
