In the past I have responded to a fuel tank repair questions extolling the
virtues of using tank sealers and my tank which I sealed 15 years ago recently
started leaking. Anyway I had an aftermarket tank originally from Sports and
Classics that I obtained from somewhere and after pulling mine out and test
fitting the other I see that the filler neck is at a slightly different angle.
I think I can get it to connect up but wanted to know if anyone sees this as a
non Healey tank. The fuel output fitting and sender unit flange are correct. It
also appears to be a bit smaller and the tank bottom where the drain is located
is a little different, i.e. 2 circular protrusions rather than one rectangular
one. Please see photos, the filler necks may look different diameter but are
the same.
