If the A-series Mini uses the same engine as the 1275 MG Midget the answer
is NO. The studs for the 1275 are much smaller than those for the 3000.
As it happens, I'm out here in the garage next to the BJ8 taking apart my
'73 Midget for a total repaint so it was easy to check that.
