Maybe the 'drop heads' are 'cabriolets?'=20

I seem to remember this coming up many years ago.=20
The best definitions seem to be that the early Healeys are roadsters wherea=
s the BJ7 and BJ8 are convertibles, which are also often referred to as 'dr=
op head coupes' in the world of Jaguars etc.=20

A convertible has a retractible hood that is affixed to the car and roll up=
windows. A roadster (which hardly ever has the top up!!) has a removable h=
ood, stowed in the rear, with side curtains. I am befuddled at the need (de=
sire?) to change everything. IMHO.=20

That's too difficult, not fair ;-). Is the frame also fixed to the car? Sor=
ry for my ignorance, but BN2:s doesn't grow on trees over here. Admit that =
there are a few around, but as I also always have seen them as roadsters I'=
ve never thought about it.=20

So what is a BN2? It has an erectable hood, and it's most definitely fixed =
to the car (by 6 bolts)? I always considered it a roadster, just like my da=
d's Model A.=20

I think we have to get the definitions right. A convertible is a vehicle th=
at has a removable top, but the top is fixed to the car. Like the case is w=
ith BJ7 and BJ8. The BT7 is a roadster, meaning that the top is removable, =
and is not fixed to the vehicle. I suggest a simple Googling on this and yo=
u will get the terms right.=20
