On the subject of spelling I have read that in previous times--perhaps even
into the 19th century--it was considered a mark of erudition for one to use
more than one spelling of the same word in a writing.  I am not talking
about words that have actual alternative spellings--such as
inquire/enquire--I mean spellings that today would be considered completely
incorrect.

Whether this was a function of ignorance or style I don't know but I have
seen it in letters, etc. from the period written by people who were
obviously literate but perhaps more permissive in their spelling.

There is nothing in the Bently manual about adjusting the pedal. My pedal has 
about 1/2" of movement before it engages. The pedal is solid when I press it so 
I believe the system has been bled correctly.

The feed back I receive when engaging the brakes when the car is in motion is 
that the servo is not assisting. I don't understand, as the servo was just 
rebuilt and it worked fine until I switched out the master cylinder.

Price,

Some master cylinders have adjustable length rods.  I don't believe that
they were originally fitted to the (big) Austin-Healeys.  The clevis pin
and the holes in the clevis and pedal arm can wear creating slop, but
you said that the brakes were fine before replacing the MC and
rebuilding the servo.

The valve is new. I actually put another one in line as recommended by the 
servo rebuilder. That could be too much but the system worked great with two 
valves before I changed out the master cylinder (the old master leaked badly).

I am finishing the interior of my 100-6 restoration and when I bought the car a 
few years ago, the rear seat back was zip tied to the rear cowl.

I have looked at Matthew Randall's YouTube videos, and I still need some 
advice. Does anyone have a photo of the placement of the two metal brackets 
that are screwed to the rear seat back?  I have the other brackets bolted into 
the wheel wells. I just need to see how everyone attaches the metal to the seat 
back.  Unfortunately my manuals do not show where the bracket goes. Thanks.
