In looking at the PC-7 site.http://www.pcepoxy.com/our-products/paste-epoxi=
es/pc-7.php
I see that there is a product called PCclear.
Is that what you are recommending?

Try PC-7 epoxy. Its the only epoxy which works as it stays flexible and bon=
ds to the original material.
I used it for two BN1 steering wheels and it keeps without cracks.
This was a hint of a friend which is a professional steering wheel restorer=
. He also provided me with the right two pack, two pack transparent, paint =
which after nearly ten years still looks fantastic.

Really interesting to see that Matthew encountered the same problem that I =
did when I tried to restore a BN1 wheel using J B Weld. https://www.youtube=
.com/watch?v=3Da4Th0wlI9f0
I don't think there is any way to ensure that epoxy will bond thoroughly to=
 the original plastic..=20

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
