The interesting thing to me is the "so what" attitude about plate switching.=
Obviously when you're restoring a car you have to take the VIN tags off for b=
lasting painting, etc.
However, the authorities (here in Canada anyway) take a very dim view of any=
VIN tag removal...it's a sort of "don't ask, don't tell " situation. So I'm=
surprised that a dealer would lightly say "oh well, we got the plates switc=
hed!"
