Thanks for the link to Patrick's article. It explains the body design. One
could re-body the car and it was now a second hand car and free from the
66+% tax on cars over 1000 pounds. On another note, one of the reasons
Trucks became so luxurious and expensive in the States is because of the
luxury tax on cars above $30K. Manufacturers could build expensive trucks
without the surcharge.
