That Midget overflow tank is a surge tank system which I prefer to a
regular overflow.
What I have done on a couple of LBCs is to install a flat cap off an Austin
America (Looks like a rad cap from the top, just has a gasket underneath)
Then I would run the hose over to a surge tank, I used to get ones of a
early 1970s Volvo 140 series they were tall round and would mount right
next to the radiator on the core support. You then put your pressure cap
on the surge tank.
I liked the Volvo bottles because they were nylon and you can look through
them and see the coolant level.
