Hi Ira,
Jerry is correct in that coolant overflow is pretty normal if you fill the
rad to the top.
Eventually enough will spill out that the level drops to a point where
there is sufficient air space in the system to accommodate expansion of the
coolant and the spillage should stop
However, then you will have less coolant and hence less reserve cooling
capacity in the system that you could have if you used the coolant recovery
system that Jerry describes.
