Something that I think seems to be missed here, is that a headlamp relay is generally a special relay with thermal overload rather than a fuse. Do you really want your headlights to decide to go off while driving at speed on a winding road? A proper headlamp relay will flash the headlights on and off if there is a problem in the wiring, as the thermal switch in the relay opens and closes contacts. Food for thought. Cheers Larry Varley |
