Something to keep in mind with PCV valves. My son recently had trouble
with plug fowling on a 6 cylinder ( non Healey ) engine. Fowling was
confined to cylinder 6. Thinking the engine had bad rings, they were
replaced, valve guides checked etc. It didn't fix it. It turned out the
PCV valve had been connected to the inlet manifold in the wrong place.
It was directly in front of port 6, so cylinder 6 was trying to burn
virtually all of the fumes. He moved the PCV to the centre of the
manifold just below the carb, and no more fowling plug.
