Hear! Hear! A Healey is one of the most difficult restorations because of a
very complex chassis/bulkhead structure. Spot weld removal can go on for
days!
The combination of aluminum and steel panels requires additional
specialized equipment.
I'd look for a simpler, but collectable car make to start off with.
A Bugeye or TR3 perhaps, then decide if big Healeys make sense.
The good thing about British cars is the great availability of parts.

Rich, one thing that you did not mention...but it might be worthwhile for
Ralph to hear... is how much time/labor it requires to actually do a
restoration. The number of man (woman?) hours that it takes to perform a
restoration would limit the number of cars he's likely to be able to deal
with too.
