G'day Eoin

They are just magic cars to own, drive and enjoy.

However there is something else about Austin-Healey ownership and that's the
fraternity between owners. That fraternity doesn't matter if you live next
door to a fellow owner or are half way around the world.

I know of no other group that will open their homes to complete strangers
who the only thing in common they have is the affection for a type of motor
car.

We have had people from all over the world stay with us. One couple was from
Switzerland and they knew no English (except Austin-Healey), but she knew a
little French which thankfully my wife knows.

As the bloke who unwittingly started the Healey Hilton in 1975, welcome to
the fraternity.

Best wishes

Hello All,

I have been a lurker on this list for approximately five years. I must admit
I do enjoy reading all the questions and various
answers that you guys give. I guess the hardest ones to read were the ones
when people got their cars on the road for their first
drive. Well this Saturday it was my turn. I collected my car from Rich
Chrysler at 10:30. When I drove into his driveway and saw my
car sitting there waiting for me I felt like a child on Christmas morning.
Rich brought me out in the car and showed me how it could
be driven. He then pulled over and it was my turn. I have to say it was very
comforting to drive the car for the first time with
Rich by my side. After a while spent with Rich giving me a low down on the
car it was time to take her home. Well, what a ride I
don't think I will ever forget it. She drove beautifully and other drivers
noticed her too (lots of honks, waves and
smiles).Needless to say I have spent the weekend driving and getting to know
the car. Too be honest I think I have been running on
adrenalin since Saturday and I'm finally starting to crash!!

The car is the BN1 that Rich posted pictures of on John Sims web site a
couple of weeks back.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rich and his team for
restoring a beautiful car for me.

Eoin Galvin
