Hi Keith, I had a similar problem recently on my BJ8 and ended up changing
the rocker bushes and rocker shaft. I did notice however after I had bought
the new bushes & rocker shaft that the oil feed pipe from the head to the
rocker shaft was loose and most likely blowing oil instead of feeding the
rocker shaft.
It might be worth taking the rocker shaft off and have a good look around at
the oil feed before replacing the bushes. I'm assuming here that the oil
feed to the rockers on the BN1 is the same set-up as the BJ8.
