The red wire needs to be connected to the ignition feed wire (now positive).
The black wire connects to the positive coil terminal and the negative coil
terminal is grounded.
In a conventional points system the distributor is at the end of the line
grounding through the points. With a pertronix the ignition feeds through the
distributor with the coil at the end of the line.
