Most fitting instructions give you enough detail to fit the electronic
ignition. Get the proper type for the distributor.
Lumenition Magtronic, Pertronix Ignitor or similar: remove points and
condensor, install the electronic module instead, wire up correctly and
do not forget to pay attention to the proper resistance needed for the
coil. Set the timing to the correct advance.
If you go for the 123 ignition just replace the whole distributor and
follow the rest of the procedure. With the 123 Ingnition you have to set
it up with the proper advance curve. You have several to choose from so
you can play around a bit for best results.
Get the proper polarity for your car.
