Wrong, boys!
The tarpaper (actually referred to as heavy felt paper) is not there as a
thermal insulator, it was more of a sound dampener applied to those flat
panels, also the floor application was a bit of a protector from dampness
for the first while until it ultimately deteriorated.

Tar paper was used on interior bulkhead, and floor as an insulator from
heat. Works for shit IMHO.so dynamat type stuff, that works is used.
Tarpaper is applied over it to look original
