Accidentally transmitted -- Or you can fill the filter canister with oil, attach it to the engine, remove the spark plugs and turn over the engine on the starter until you get oil pressure on the gauge, then put the spark plugs in and fire it up, confident that when the engine first fires, new oil will have permeated the entire engine. That's the procedure I follow, and I firmly believe it increases engine life. YMMV. G. |
