Sounds like the kind of scam that has been going around for some time. You
get a message to call someone at a particlular number., When you do you are
connected to some foreign number, even if you call what appears to be a US
number.The catch is that when you connect you are billed several hundred
dollars or more through your carrier from the foreign phone company. When it
happens to US customers their phone company usually does nothing about it
and you are stuck for the amount. I suspect they get a portion of the amount
for doing the billing.
