I think the question should be what the max output is. As you can read in my
earlier mail (response to the Nocks) the output is not determined by the
voltage regulator. And the BJ8 used to have a Lucas C42 gen installed unlike
the earlier Healeys, which had a C45 installed. I believe that the C42 was
capable of a higher max output rate.

The regulator, Lucas 37183, is used from the BN1 through the BJ7. The
BJ8 used Lucas 37331. This would mean, I believe, that the output
should be consistently close to the same for all cars up the to the BJ8.
