[Healeys] dentist epoxy for car restoration

I was sitting in the Dentist chair getting a crown replaced, and I was amazed
at the epoxy tools and grinders that were being used.   I will bet that epoxy
might be useful in fixing plastic components or other broken parts.  Has
anyone tried this?
