Over here, the speed bumps usually have a cut in them to fit a tire through,
or they taper off to nothing near the curb.  This may be wrong, but I was told
that they were for emergency vehicles to not have to slow down as much.  If
only one side of the car is going over the speed bump it makes a huge
difference.  ( Especially if it is the passenger side going over.  :))
Driving a RHD car in a LHD country, means the driver's side is near the curb
...
