I've run Castrol 20W-50 in my BN1 Tranny and OD since I got it on the road in
2002. No problems at all. With the advent of the ZDDP controversy I've
switched the engine oil to Castrol 20W-50 4T which is formulated for four
stroke motorcycle engines It still has an API designation of SH/SG. I guess
motorcycles don't use cats.
