I concur. You can be lit up like the Times Square Christmas tree and it won't
help a bit if the bozo in the SUV behind you has his/her head down
phoning/texting/whatever.
Although I do believe the third brake light is marginally safer overall (but
only if the other guy is paying attention--which they often aren't).

All agree?? No, I don't agree. 1157's in the stock location have worked
for me since 1968. None of my collisions have been rear enders. I think
this third brake light and mechanical brake pedal switch effort is time
and money spent not driving.
